Update your PSA connection

How tenant admins replace Autotask, ConnectWise, HaloPSA, or Dynamics connection details without turning the integration off.

If your PSA issues a new API user, member key, or application, update the current connection in Salesbuildr. You do not need Salesbuildr support for this, and you should not turn the integration off.

Before you start

  • You need the Admin role in Salesbuildr.

  • For tenant admins, only the PSA that is already connected appears on Settings > Integrations > Manage. Tenant admins cannot switch to a different PSA from this page. SuperAdmins retain full PSA management access.

  • Create the replacement credentials in your PSA first. For HaloPSA this is usually a new application (base URL, client ID, and client secret together). For ConnectWise this is a new API member key set (company, hostname, public key, and private key). For Autotask this is a new API user (user name and secret). For Dynamics this is a new Azure AD app (base URL, tenant ID, client ID, client secret, and app ID).

Update the connection

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Manage.

  2. Open the connected PSA card and click Configure.

  3. Enter every field for the new connection. Do not change only the password or secret if the PSA issued a new application or API member — those values belong together.

  4. Click Save.

  5. For Autotask, ConnectWise, or HaloPSA, click Verify after saving to confirm Salesbuildr can reach the PSA. Dynamics connection checks are performed by Salesbuildr support.

Tenant admins will not see an Enable toggle. Tenant admins can update the live connection, but they cannot turn the PSA on or off. SuperAdmins retain full PSA management access. Contact Salesbuildr support if you need a different PSA connected.

If verification fails

  • Confirm you copied the new values from the same PSA application or API member.

  • For HaloPSA, check base URL, client ID, and client secret together — a new Halo application changes all three.

  • For ConnectWise, confirm company ID, hostname, and both keys belong to the same member.

  • For Autotask, confirm the API user is active and the secret matches that user.

  • For Dynamics, confirm base URL, tenant ID, client ID, client secret, and app ID belong to the same Azure AD application.

See PSA Sync Issues if sync errors continue after a successful verify.
