Connect Pax8 via OAuth — browse cloud products, link to categories, match companies, and manage contracts.

Pax8 is a cloud marketplace that connects to Salesbuildr via OAuth. Once connected, your team can browse Pax8 products, link them to your catalog with specific billing and commitment term variants, and add them to quotes with live pricing from Pax8. Pax8 products appear under Products > Cloud Marketplaces > Pax8.

Setup

Navigate to Admin > Integrations > Manage, find the Pax8 card, and click Connect. You will be redirected to Pax8 to authorize Salesbuildr. After authorization, select your preferred currency.

Salesbuildr refreshes the OAuth token automatically every day. If the token expires (after 30 days of inactivity), all admins receive a notification and you can reconnect from the Manage page.

Browsing and linking products

Open Products > Cloud Marketplaces > Pax8 to browse the full Pax8 catalog. Use the filters to narrow by:

Linked / Unlinked — whether the product is already in your Salesbuildr catalog
Priced / Unpriced — whether pricing has been fetched from Pax8
Vendor — the software vendor (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, SentinelOne)
Commitment required — products that require a commitment term selection

Click a product to view its pricing table, then click Link to add it to your Salesbuildr catalog. During linking you select a categories and vendor, and choose which billing term and commitment term variants to make available.

Billing term and commitment term

Every Pax8 product has one or more variants — each variant is a unique combination of a billing term and a commitment term. This combination determines the SKU and its pricing from Pax8.

How it works

A billing term defines how often the customer is charged. A commitment term defines how long the customer commits to the subscription. Together, they form a unique pricing variant.

For example, a Microsoft 365 Business Premium license might have these variants:

Monthly	1 Year	Billed monthly, 12-month commitment — lower flexibility, lower price
Annual	1 Year	Billed annually (upfront), 12-month commitment — lowest price
Monthly	None	Billed monthly, no commitment — cancel any time, highest price

Each variant has its own pricing from Pax8, consisting of a partner buy rate (your cost) and a suggested retail price (the recommended end-customer price). Salesbuildr uses the suggested retail price as the default sell price for Pax8 products.

Available billing terms

Pax8 supports these billing terms:

Monthly — charged every month
Annual — charged once per year
2-Year — charged once every two years
3-Year — charged once every three years
One-Time — single charge
Trial — trial period, no charge
Activation — one-time activation fee

Selecting variants when linking

When you link a Pax8 product to your catalog, Salesbuildr shows all available (billing term, commitment term) combinations. Select the variants you want to make available to your sales team. Each selected variant becomes a separate product variant in your catalog with its own cost and sell price.

You can always return to the product and change which variants are listed. If changing a variant would alter the price on existing quotes, Salesbuildr shows a confirmation before applying the change.

Terms on the quote

When a Pax8 product is added to a quote, the billing term and commitment term are shown on the line item. The product detail page also shows the commitment term under sellable information for Pax8-linked products. Salesbuildr fetches the exact price for the selected variant and quantity from Pax8 — so your quote always reflects the correct pricing for that specific term combination.

Volume pricing

Some Pax8 products have tiered pricing based on quantity. Each variant can have multiple price tiers with quantity ranges. For example, 1–99 licenses might cost one rate, while 100–249 licenses get a lower rate. Salesbuildr automatically selects the correct tier based on the quantity on the quote line item.

Company matching

Link your Salesbuildr companies to their Pax8 counterparts to view contracts and subscriptions. On the company detail page, use the external identifier field to search and match a Pax8 company.

Once matched, the company page shows a Pax8 Contracts section with all active subscriptions — including product name, quantity, status, billing term, commitment term, and cost/price per unit. Click Refresh to pull the latest data from Pax8.

Price sync

Salesbuildr runs a daily sync that fetches all products and companies from Pax8. This keeps your catalog pricing and product availability current. Cached prices expire after 24 hours.

You can also manually refresh prices for any product from the Pax8 product list page by clicking the refresh button.

Ordering through Pax8

Pax8 is a fully integrated distributor in Salesbuildr. When a quote containing Pax8 products is approved, you can place the order directly through Salesbuildr. The system resolves the correct commitment term dependency (mapping commitment term strings to Pax8 UUIDs) and submits the order via the Pax8 API.
