This article explains how to set up and use multi-currency in Salesbuildr, so you can create quotes in different currencies for your customers.

Multi-currency quoting is a Premium plan feature. Setting a single default currency is available on all plans.

Configure multi-currency

Before you can quote in multiple currencies, set your default currency and enable the additional currencies you want to use.

Step 1: Set your default currency

  1. Go to Settings > Financial > Pricing Rules.

  2. Locate the Default currency field.

  3. Select your base currency (for example, EUR, GBP, or USD).

  4. Save your changes.

Note: Your default currency is the base currency used across your account. It is the reference point for conversions and is shown alongside quote-currency amounts in the quote editor.

For a screenshot of the Default currency and Enabled currencies fields, see Financial.

Step 2: Enable multi-currency

  1. In Pricing Rules, turn on Enable multi-currency.

  2. Confirm the warning that this cannot be turned off after you save.

  3. Save your changes.

After you confirm, the Enabled currencies field appears so you can choose currencies before saving. After you save, the Enable multi-currency toggle stays on and is greyed out (it cannot be disabled).

Important: Enabling multi-currency is permanent for your account. You cannot turn it off later.

Step 3: Choose enabled currencies

  1. In Pricing Rules, find the Enabled currencies section.

  2. Select the currencies you want to make available for quoting.

  3. Save your changes.

Note: The Enabled currencies field appears only after multi-currency is enabled. If you are on the Premium plan and do not see the Enable multi-currency toggle, contact support.

Salesbuildr pulls exchange rates automatically from the European Central Bank (ECB) once per day. You do not need to update rates manually.

Step 4: Add fixed prices per currency on your products

Once you have enabled multiple currencies, you can set specific prices for each currency on individual products instead of relying on automatic conversion.

  1. Go to Products and select the product you want to update.

  2. Click Edit, then open the Pricing tab.

  3. Select Add fixed currency exchange price.

  4. Enter the price for each relevant currency.

  5. Save your changes.

Tip: Fixed prices per currency give you more control and avoid unexpected rounding from exchange-rate conversions.

Step 5: Use multi-currency when creating a quote

When you create a quote, choose the currency for that quote in the New Quote dialog. The currency list includes your default currency and every currency you enabled in Pricing Rules. If the company has a default currency set, that value is pre-selected when it is enabled for quoting.

  1. Open Quotes and click New Quote.

  2. Select a template and company.

  3. Choose the Currency for this quote.

  4. Click Create.

For a screenshot of the New Quote dialog with the currency field, see Quote Editor.

After the quote is created, the quote editor shows amounts in the selected quote currency. When the quote currency differs from your default currency, the editor also shows the equivalent amounts in your default currency for reference.

You can change the quote currency later from the quote Settings panel. Products use their fixed currency prices when available; otherwise prices are converted using the daily ECB rate.
