Before Your First Call
Seven steps to complete before booking your first onboarding call — launch your instance, connect your PSA, configure email, and request distributor credentials.

Complete these steps before booking your first onboarding call. If you get stuck, email support@salesbuildr.com.
Do immediately
1. Launch your instance
Click the provisioning link in your confirmation email to activate your Salesbuildr workspace. Sign in with your Microsoft or Google SSO business account at start.salesbuildr.com and verify your details.

After you click on confirm, your instance will be provisioned, which takes about 10 seconds.

You will then be redirected to the login page of your Salesbuildr instance, where you can click login.

After you log in with the same credentials you used to provision your instance, you will land on the dashboard where you can continue to configure your instance by walking through the steps below.

2. Connect your PSA
Salesbuildr has native support for Autotask, ConnectWise Manage, and HaloPSA. Follow the setup guide for your platform:
Autotask setup — Create an API-only resource and configure security levels
ConnectWise Manage setup — Create an API member and generate keys
HaloPSA setup — Register an API application with OAuth credentials
Custom integration via Public API — Integrate with an existing platform using the REST API
3. Verify your quote and opportunity defaults
After your PSA connects and the initial sync completes, Salesbuildr automatically pre-populates key default settings based on your PSA data. These defaults control how opportunities and quotes are created and updated in your PSA.
If any defaults still need attention, a Default Settings tile appears on your dashboard under Finish Actions. Click Configure to review:
Default pipeline stage — The opportunity stage applied when Salesbuildr creates a new opportunity
Quote status mapping — Maps each quote event (draft, sent, approved, declined, expired) to a pipeline stage and status in your PSA. This keeps your opportunity pipeline in sync with quote activity automatically.
Default payment term — Applied to quotes by default, e.g. "Net 30" (Autotask and ConnectWise only)
Tip: Autotask pre-configures most defaults automatically. ConnectWise and HaloPSA users should expect to manually configure the quote status mapping.
Click Save when done. You can review and update these settings anytime — see Opportunities for pipeline stages and status mapping, and Quotes for payment terms and pricing.
4. Configure your email domain
Salesbuildr sends quote emails on your behalf via Sendgrid. Go to Admin > Email > Domain Names, copy the DNS records shown, and add them to your DNS provider. Verification usually completes within a few hours.

You can add multiple email domains to send from different company addresses. Salesbuildr uses the logged-in user's email address as the FROM address.
5. Set up your subdomain (optional)
Available on Advanced and higher subscriptions. Choose your own subdomain (e.g., quotes.yourdomain.com) with automatic SSL. Go to Admin > Site > Custom Domains, add the CNAME and TXT records, then click Verify DNS.

Once verified, click Send to notify the team. You will get an email when the subdomain is live.
Allow processing time (3–5 business days)
6. Request your distributor credentials
Go to Admin > Distributors > Connections and submit your credentials request. Distributors respond in their own time — typically 3–5 business days. Start this step early so credentials are ready before your first call.

Distributor connections give you customer-specific pricing, product availability, and automatic cost price updates.

7. Send your existing templates
Email a sample of your current quote or proposal document to support@salesbuildr.com. We'll convert them into Salesbuildr templates as part of your onboarding package. If you use both quick quotes and formal proposals, send one of each. Accepted formats: .docx or .pdf.
8. Book your first call
Once your PSA is connected, at least one distributor request is submitted, and your email domain is configured — you're ready. Book your first onboarding call via the link in your welcome email or at the scheduling page provided by your Salesbuildr contact.
You're ready to book when
