Prospects
Identify the companies visiting your website, score them against your ideal customer profile, and turn the best fits into opportunities.

Prospects turns anonymous website traffic into a working pipeline. Once visitor tracking is installed, Salesbuildr identifies the companies visiting your site, scores each one against your ideal customer profile (ICP), and lets you triage, assign and convert the best fits — without leaving Salesbuildr.
Prospects is an internal-only area: it is available to admins and quote managers, and never to your end customers. If you don't see the Prospects tab, ask your administrator to enable it.
Getting started
1. Turn on visitor tracking
Open the Prospects tab. Until any data has landed you'll see the Install view:
Enter the website you want to track. Salesbuildr sets up visitor tracking and generates a tracking snippet for it.
Copy the snippet and paste it into the
<head>of every page on your website.Publish your site. Identified visitors start appearing within a few minutes.
Optional: on Install, use Check Content Security Policy if your site uses a Content Security Policy (CSP). The check is a preflight only — green means no CSP or a policy that allows the tracker script, stylesheet, and image-beacon URLs from your snippet, and that those tags appear as live elements on the page (commented-out markup does not count); warnings cover fetch problems, Report-Only policies, and a missing/commented snippet; errors mean an enforcing policy likely blocks a snippet resource. Suggested fixes are
script-src/style-src-elem/img-srclines with the full URLs from your snippet (including…/jq.pngon the same origin as the script), not bare CDN domain names. If the check cannot reach your site (for example a bot filter blocks our servers), it shows why (timeout, TLS abort, HTTP status when available) — then confirm CSP in your own browser console. A past identified visitor does not prove tracking still works if CSP or consent settings change later.
2. Set your ideal customer profile
From the Prospects list, open ICP. Salesbuildr can scan a domain (for example your own website) to draft your ICP — target industry, company size, geographies, buying signals, competitors and anti-patterns. Review it and save. Your ICP is what each identified company is scored against, so keeping it accurate directly improves the fit scoring.
You can edit the ICP at any time: open ICP, choose Edit ICP, adjust the fields (including a Competitors list), and save. Saving re-scores companies previously marked Out of ICP against the updated profile in the background (manual fit decisions such as ICP fit / Opportunity / Customer are left alone). Re-scanning your website still works when you want Salesbuildr to refresh a draft — your manual edits are preserved when you save from the editor.
3. Optional: daily digest email
On the Install tab, pick who should receive the digest and (when you are ready) enable Daily digest email. Each selected person gets their own email at 07:00 UTC with that day's visitors (company, pages viewed, ICP fit, top page) and a button back to Prospects. Send test digest now previews the email at any time — it does not turn the schedule on, and you can send it more than once.
The Prospects list
Every identified company appears in the list with its ICP fit, industry, size, country, visit count and last visit. The fit chip is one of:
Likely fit — a strong match for your ICP
Maybe — a partial match worth reviewing
Out of ICP — unlikely to be a fit
ICP fit / Opportunity / Customer — a decision you or the system has made (see below)
Filtering and the summary tiles
Use the filters on the left to narrow the list by ICP fit, Status (identified, enriched, briefed, converted), Visibility, Owner, employees, geography, source or medium. The summary tiles at the top (Identified, Likely fit, Maybe, Enriched, Converted) are clickable — selecting one opens the list already filtered to those companies.
By default the list shows only Visible companies. Selecting Clear filters resets back to Visible rather than showing everything.
Assigning an owner
Assign any prospect to a colleague using the Owner column in the list, or from the company's detail page. You can then filter the list by owner to see just your own prospects.
Working a prospect
Open a company to see its visit history, firmographics, contacts and ICP assessment. From here you can:
Add to ICP — mark the company as a fit and record why. Your reason is saved as a note and used as training material to improve future fit scoring.
Link to existing company — when a visitor is already a company in Salesbuildr but was not linked automatically, search for and link the correct record instead of creating a duplicate. The prospect shows an In Salesbuildr indicator once linked.
Suppress company — hide a company that isn't relevant. Suppressed companies drop out of the default overview; switch the Visibility filter to Hidden to find and restore them.
Convert to opportunity — create a Salesbuildr company from the prospect (optionally importing contacts and creating an opportunity) so it can flow into your quoting process.
Visit history and time on page
The Recent pages table on a prospect's detail page lists recent page views from visit history (up to six, newest first), including repeats of the same URL, with source, medium and campaign where available. When session data is present, a Time on page column shows how long the visit spent on each page (derived from consecutive page views in the same session). The Page Views tile is a separate lifetime counter from ProspectPro — it is not the number of rows in Recent pages.
Contacts
After enrichment, contact persons appear with their name and job title where the data source provides them. Use Enrich on a prospect to refresh firmographics and contacts from connected data providers.
Existing customers are linked automatically
When a newly-identified visitor is already a company in Salesbuildr, it is linked automatically — you don't need to convert it by hand. Its fit is set from the linked company's type (for example, Customer or Opportunity) based on your lifecycle mapping. This applies only to newly-identified visitors; companies already in your list are not linked retroactively.
Lifecycle mapping
On the Install tab you can map which of your company types represent a lead and which represent a customer. When a linked company is created or updated, its prospect's fit follows that mapping — leads become Opportunity and customers become Customer — so the list stays in step with your CRM without manual updates.
The dashboard
The Dashboard tab shows your identified pipeline as a funnel — Identified → Likely fit → Maybe → Briefed → Opportunities — with a breakdown of what each traffic source is producing. Each funnel tile is clickable and opens the matching filtered list.
Privacy
Identification is company-level only and runs on a legitimate-interest basis. Any deeper enrichment of individual contacts is explicit, initiated by you, and logged in the audit trail.
