The product search page is how users browse and find products in your catalog. It combines text search, a filter sidebar, sorting options, and infinite scroll to handle catalogs of any size.
Searching products
The search bar appears at the top of the catalog page. Type a query to search across product names, descriptions, and other indexed fields.
Results update as you type (with a short delay to avoid excessive searches)
The search query is stored in the URL — you can share or bookmark filtered views
Clear the search field to return to the full catalog

Filtering
The filter sidebar narrows results without clearing your search query. Available filter types depend on your catalog configuration:
Filters display result counts next to each option, showing how many products match before you select.

Filter state
All active filters are synced to the URL as query parameters
Click Clear Filters to reset all active filters at once

Sorting
Use the sort dropdown to order results. Sort options depend on how your catalog is configured but typically include:
Name (A-Z / Z-A)
Price (low to high / high to low)
Date added (newest / oldest)
Custom configured sort fields
The current sort is also stored in the URL.

Admin: custom product ordering
Administrators can set a manual product order within a category:
Navigate to the category's product page
Open the Manage Sorting dialog
Drag and drop products to set the desired order
Use the search field to find and add specific products to the sorted list
Save the order
When manual ordering is active, the sort dropdown shows "As Configured" as the default option.
Product result cards
Each search result displays a product card with:
Product image, name, and vendor
Pricing information
Add to Quote — Add the product directly to a quote (requires sales permission)
Add to Cart — Add to the shopping cart (if the storefront is enabled)
Compare — Add the product to the comparison tool
View Bundle Items — For bundle products, view the included items
Pagination
The catalog uses infinite scroll — results load automatically as you scroll down the page, 20 products at a time. A loading indicator appears while the next page is being fetched.
For admin views and other search contexts, a standard paginator is available with page size options of 10, 20, 50, or 100 results per page.
