Product types

Salesbuildr supports several product types to match how IT services are sold:

  • One-time — Hardware, licenses, or any single-purchase item
  • Recurring — Monthly or annual subscriptions and managed services
  • Labor — Time-based billing for project work or hourly services
  • Bundle — A group of products sold together as a package (see Bundles section below)

Each product type has its own pricing rules, margin calculations, and how it appears on quotes.

Add-ons

Add-ons are optional products attached to a main product. When a sales rep adds the main product to a quote, they're prompted to consider relevant add-ons — increasing deal value without extra effort.

You configure add-ons at the product level or at the category level. Category-level add-ons apply to all products in that category.

Bundles

Set the product type to Bundle on the General Info tab to create a bundle product. Once saved, the bundle management section appears where you add products, set quantities, and configure pricing.

See Bundling for a complete guide to building and managing bundles.

Dynamic pricing

Dynamic pricing automatically derives product prices from distributor feeds using your markup rules. See Dynamic Pricing for setup and configuration.

Product comparison

Compare up to 3 products side-by-side within the same category. Product comparison is available from the category browse page.

The comparison view shows:

  • Product cards for each selected product
  • Vendor information and verification status
  • Category features — checkmarks for each feature the product supports (defined per category)
  • Custom data points — both vendor-level and product-level custom fields
  • Specifications — structured spec data grouped by section (e.g., processor, memory, storage)

To add a fourth product, you must replace one of the existing three.
